Alexander Technique – Introductory Workshop

During this workshop we will explore together the practical implications of the principles of the Alexander Technique in your everyday and professional activities in relation to movement, stress, pain and habitual reactions.
We will explore together basic and simple movements like bending, sitting, standing and walking and discover how they are related to all movements and reactions we do in life.
You may also bring with you your musical instrument or any other object with which you would like to explore a better use of yourself.
Ne previous experience is necessary.
Please wear comfortable clothes which do not impede movement and come with floor socks or shoes.
Pease bring a ‘yoga mat’ for the lying down procedure.

- awareness of habitual muscular tensions and reactions in our body
- the Alexander Technique active rest position
-8 participants maximum
-Doors open at 10.00 am
-Schedule:
Morning: 10.30 to 13.00
Lunch Break: 13.00 to 14.00
Afternoon: 14.00 to 16.30
-Doors close at 17.00

The Villa François Gay is situated, we could even say hidden, in a small park very near to the Square Montgomery, between Avenue de Tervuren and Rue François Gay.
There are two entrances to the park:
-Entrance 1 : the same as Centre Médical Medicis : 236 Avenue de Tervuren.
-Entrance 2: Rue François Gay between numbers 324 and 328.
